The trademark disco house duo Solidisco (Matt McGurn & Don Skotnicki) was born when the two met DJing in their hometown of Buffalo, NY. With a fresh recipe that revitalizes the classic house sound with today’s musical trends, it’s no surprise Solidisco’s gaining popularity at unprecedented speeds. The two have charted Beatport numerous times with releases on some of the best record labels, including Ultra, Fool’s Gold, Kitsune, Big Beat/Atlantic, Warner Music, and captured the ears of the biggest tastemaking DJs in the industry.
Their latest release is the leading single “Top of the World” (out 1/24) off their upcoming EP (out 2/25) on Ultra. Featuring the vocals of iconic 80s disco band Skyy, “Top of the World” reinvents classic the 80s sound, infusing big room synths and hypnotically looping vocals that will have you falling in love. It’s also worth mentioning that this is Skyy’s first contribution to an original release in over 20 years. Artwork for the single was created by Sakke Soini who’s work can also be seen on releases by Benga and Lenno to name a few.
